Once upon a time, before the Internet, Raymond studied the hydrodynamics of sand dollars. Now a lapsed scientist, he remains intrigued with the natural world but has become more interested in the different ways to communicate scientific ideas and positively affect attitudes about science. He has been part of Science Borealis since it was no more than a twinkle in the Cloud, and works with fellow-Multimedia editor Katrina Vera Wong to explore sci art and the many fascinating ways science can be communicated using different media.
